Where are the voices of public outrage, asks letter writer Roland Kiehne. I’ll tell you where they are. They are engrossed with self, social life, family, mortgage payments, self, car, pursuit of job, self, money, clothes, entertainment, love life, children, self and self. Their focus on issues of self leaves them little room to notice what Harper and his gang are doing, a condition exploited to great advantage by the Dear Leader.

Unfortunately, the political apathy of our self-absorbed brethren will have dark consequences for all. When the Harper tsunami begins to wash ashore in the months and years to come, the apathetic will be shocked and outraged.

Or not. Maybe they’ll just shrug and change the channel.
